[] Big band tracks from 1910s wartime music era, to 1990s jungle and drum n bass, mixed as genres together, including doubled spins of either audiences: ticket clipping, percussion frequencies as softened dynamics, bass drums and sub dubbing to aestheticise the connection, searching for that on and off dance floor vibe. Influences from The Caretaker, back streets cabaret clubs, and the off radar radio space, where jingles replaced the esoteric jam factory of a compressed industry. [] The first part of this studio mixset combines drum n bass djing legend Andy C of Origin Unknown ['Valley Of The Shadows'], mixing and double dropping 'Together' by Logistics, with 'Submarines [Pendulum Remix] originally by DJ Fresh. The mix CD, part of 'Nightlife 2' in the 'Nightlife' series, was released before the year 2005 and includes a broad spectrum of tracks, with Andy C one of the most in demand DJs of the 2000s drum n bass era. The two track mix is mixed at 156 to 160bpm. [] Peggy Lee is mixed with the ambiences from the drum n bass tracks. This mixset is a work in progress.
