Holding back, stepping back, getting out the way, avoiding the engage, is not an antithesis to this, just a lightweight alternative. And how we need lightness these days. Sometimes, before listening to new mailing list and record items, I subvert my musical tastes and combine two complimentary records together. Then three. Sometimes four to five [check Algiversal Mix 2, 'Busdriver And The Bustling Sounds Of Mr ShaoDow Mix' as a SubVersion blog example [2009]. But what The Fifteen Minutes Of Fame Mix Series - referencing Andy Warhol and his movement tag - as well as the Pop Art movement - was going to be called: Little Mix - was already designed to be, at the time - a platinum selling girl group. These days, 2 track, 3 track mixes, and 2 LP, 3Lp mixes, are easier to make with the advent of deejaying equipment combined with radio receivers and streaming services. Sometimes they clash, and that's where I work with equalisers. Sometimes they are out of key as well. But it is fascinating. LP Mixes.. The sentiments of simplicity can last a lifetime, just like one plus one equals two. These detailed, intriguing mixes benefit from straightforward unravelling of gravitational fear - steady pulses of dance music - regulated with tiny, harmonic and assuring timbral details that are complex to the ear at first - through a energetic and stable trance and techno style - and keep their posture interesting and steady. There are rarely lapses of concentration in dance floor tracks. 'Hayling Remixes' safely stands up through a deceptive post Underworld intrigue: quality tracks, and as Carbon Based Lifeforms wrote as a track title: held together by gravity.

It sure is good knowing dnb labels like Metalheadz. The Blue Note, Speed and Raindance era of clubs and crossover raves kept a label with a friendly sound, appreciated by heads enjoying the dance, just as with these Vip [very important person] mixes, basslines that drew many to the jungle and dnb genres after continuums branched out, with a history of dubs, British ghetto blasters - brilliantly adapted to the times.

Beauty Becomes The Enemy Of The Future

Cathedral Transmissions label

Bandcamp DL Poster Print

Classical music, from sources, although with a solid fan base since the millennium year, is a word that is tied to the rhythm of adversity. Modern classical, neo classical, post classical, can give the technical thought of a non hectored continuum - a progression based upon a digression, sounds relevant to something, so they say something - but are sounds that sometimes contrast, rather than compliment. Ambience and classical records, although commonly sold in the United Kingdom [UK], are objectively thought of as strange objects - ambient and classical are rarely viewed to go together. Antonymes 'Beauty Becomes The Enemy Of The Future', released in 2009 as a CD Photos and artwork artifact book, has tones and textures that, although connecting beauty and nemesis subjectifications in part and parting in sound, is a example of looking back so that the future becomes a friend of the present.

Bandcamp writes:

'Antonymes music emerges through the adjustments and erasures where music addresses nothing but itself, from the relationship between continuity and repetition rather than of contract and interplay, from secrecy, from quietness, from pause, from thought, from emptiness, from time, from far off, from itself, from where it is set and from where it is setting off to.'
