This week's 2 track mixes: (1) Franz Ferdinand - 'Audacious', into '30 Degrees Below' by Santa Cruz, 1997, a quality record from Truck Witney Oxfordshire. (2) Goldfrapp - 'Cologne Cerrone Houdini', 2008, into 'Serenity' by DJ Trax, 1999, originally released as Trax's debut LP on CD and Vinyl only, on the Lacerba label - now uploaded to www.bandcamp this month as digital. (3) Octal Industries - 'Drofn#2', 'Meeting Of The Waves' CD DL, available on www.bandcamp, from Entropy Records - highly recommended - into 'Coconut Teaser' by Klute, from the 'No-One's Listening Anymore' 2CD, on his Commercial Suicide label, released on CD and Vinyl in 2004. (4) Max Richter - 'Elena & Lila', 'My Brilliant Friend' motion picture soundtrack, into 'Hi Lo And In-between' by Neil Halstead - 'Sleeping On Roads' CD LP - mixed in 3/4 time signature, eulogies mixing style (5) Sting - 'When We Dance', from 'All This Time' LP CD, mixed into 'One Of These Mornings' by Moby, from his record '18'. () Throughout the week, mixes of interplaying vocals. 'If he loved you, like I love you, I would walk away in shame, I would consider myself to change my names', mixed with 'one of these morning's, won't be there alone - you were there for me, I'd be gone'. But what for? A mishearing perhaps? Like this mishearing of another piece of lifeline music by Angel Olsen, which epitomised by fortnight: 'I laughed so hard inside myself it all began to hurt '. But there is hope. Angel Olsen's newest LP will be one of my fave records of 2025, (...) and my LP of this week is...Sharon Van Etten - Sharon Van Etten And The Attachment Theory. Music that sounds like it hurts to make it, however never sinks beneath quality, and never into parody. Music is always a lifeline for me. Whoever you are, I hope you have a fantastic week! MuttleySV
