SubVersion Stop 310: For Electronic Subverts 026

Advents of subversive electronic music. These 3 records mean business. [] https://opposide.bandcamp.com/album/oppop21-gifts-from-the-grid-ep [] Sileni [posted on Subvert Central] Coffee Break Yeah Beatz6 D-S-D Gifts From The Grid EP Released November 18th 2021 Opposide Records [Russian dnb label who signed Dissident & Fluter 'First Day Of Sorrow', featured in The Dastardly Diaries Chapter 2, 'The Morning After: Reprise, Then Awake' in 2007] [] A good enough reason as ever to unearth previously unreleased gems that can be uploaded to websites such as www.bandcamp at no monetary cost. [] Various Artists Late Junction Compilation 1 Compiled And Mixed By Verity Sharp BBC Radio 3 Artwork CD Released 2002 [] Connections, speeds, timing - all examples of the opposite of a late junction - at least when driving a car. BBC Radio Three's Late Junction radio program drove to fame years after compilations such as this, for example when hosted by The Wire Magazine's Anne Hilde-Neset. This is a high quality compilation featuring Goldfrapp ['Paper Bag' from 'Felt Mountain' LP, released on Mute Records in the year 2000], Mercury Rev, Plastikman [technoid dubstep] and the partly new age ambient of Michael Brook. Compiled by Verity Sharp in the year 2002, the mixing style is connecting harmonics to a dulcet, easy listening experience - at least by the style of lower case, experimental music. [] Hania Rani Manchester Collective Jack Wyllie Hugh Tieppo-Brunt Non Fiction: Piano Concerto In Four Movements Released 14th November 2025 [] It is okay to draw a line through something - but in classical music, experimentalism is naturally encouraged. The music theorem of this particular release is a woven tilt of the simulcra of modern classical music - however the combination of styles here is closer to Dmitry Shostakovitch than any improvised barnstormer. Though, the release works in different angles that do not predominate a fixed direction. The strings loosen not abrade. The chords build a flustered sound at times. The release benefits from moments of lucid genius, put even stronger together by its understanding of pizzicato playing style, slowed down into a classical version of today's hauntology. [] Advents of electronica. If subversive music was more popular, I'd buy us all stocking fillers. Peace and love ~ MuttleySV.
